- June 2010: the Simon brothers got back together for a serie of concerts in Venezuela and in Curacao. This time the Simon, Simon & Simon were joing by exellent Venezuelan musicians, Pablo Gil on saxophones, Roberto Koch on bass and Gerardo Rosales on congas and percussion.
- April 2010: a new colaboration project was presented at the WATT club in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Michael Simon meets Samuel Torres is a project that exposes and exploits the special connection between these two artists.
- November 2009: My newest cd New York Encounter was succesfully released and prensented at the Concert Hall De Doelen in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This special concert featured the Simon brothers, Roberto Quintero and Boris Kozlov, both included in the cd, Roman Filiú and Efraim Trujillo.
- October 2007: Michael travels to the big apple to record he newest cd entitled New York Encounter with some the finest local musicians including his brothers Edward and Marlon.
- December 23rd, 2006: Michael Simon & Roots United make their debut in Amsterdam at the most prestigious Jazzclub of the Netherlands, The Bimhouse. With a croud of about220 people, The band succeded to enchant and inspire the audience with music from the cd Revelación as well as new and innovative pieces.
- May 20th, 2006: Michael receives the "Terpstra music soloist price" for his performance with the Residence Big Band at the Dutch National Big Band Concourse in Hoofddorp.
- June 21st, 2004: the long-waited debut CD of Michael Simon & Roots United is released. Entitled "Revelación" (Revelation), this production reunites the Simon brothers, as well as some of the best Latin and Jazz musicians of the Netherlands.
- April 16th and 17th, 2004: Michael was assigned to write two arrangements (one of them an original of his), and was invited to join Marlon Simon & The Nagual Spirits for two special concerts in which they featured special guests Giovanni Hidalgo, John Blake and Paquito D`Rivera.
- August 15th and 16th, 2003: Michael joined Marlon and Edward in Curacao for another "Simon, Simon & Simon" reunion concert. On this ocassion they were joined by Pernel Saturnino on congas, Peter Brainin on tenor and soprano saxes and the great John Benitez on acoustic bass.
- April 2002: the Fra Fra Big Band was joined by South African guests Feya Faku on trumpet, Moses Khumalo on alto sax, Barney Rachabane on alto and soprano saxes, Upa Monareng on malombo drums and Mokone Senkhane on trombone for a dutch tour in which they performed music from reknown South African composers, tree of the arrangements were writen by Michael Simon.
- October 2001: Gerardo Rosales`s Trabucombo was joined by Salsa-singer Frankie Vasquez and percussionist Roberto Quintero for a series of great concerts in Holland.
- August 18th, 2001: the first "Simon, Simon & Simon - the reunion concert" was presented at Curacao`s Villa Maria. The Simon brothers performed together for the first time in public. They were joined by Pernel Saturnino on Congas and Boris Koslov on acoustic bass and performed music from all three.
- May 2001: Fra Fra Sound was joined by Malian guests Toumani Diabaté on Kora, Keletigui Diabaté on balafon and Basekou Kouyaté on ngoni to perform a series of unforgetable concerts.
- April 26th, 27th and 28th, 2001: Michael joined Conexion Latina - one of Europe`s best Salsa and Latin jazz orchestras - to perform three great concerts at the "Espoo International Jazz Festival" in Finland.
- October 1999: the Fra Fra Big Band was joined by special guest David Murray for a series of exciting concerts in Holland and in Spain.
